Tweed Heads Gold Coast Brisbane & Buderum .............. 1st - 9th December 2011

We left Sydney at 430am for Tweed heads and I couldn't wait  to  leave ( I'm really missing  them ) It  was a  long  trip  it  took  11 and half hours  and  I  was  tired but  so excited.

 We stopped at  our  usual  places first being Freddo's at Frederickton about 10 minutes out of Kempsey..




Then  our next stop is Woolgoolga 20 minutes north of Coffs Harbour I  have been going  there  for  holidays  since  a close family friend move  there  she  has  since returned  to  living  in  Sydney  but we still  drop in  on  our way  up  and  back to  Brisbane. Whoopi as  the locals call it  has  the  best beaches and  a  wonderful headland  if  you  go  at  the  right  time  of  t he  year  you  will  get  to  see  the  whales  pass  thru.

We finally arrive at Tweed at 4pm very tired but very  happy  to  be there :)  ............. We had  a BBQ dinner yummo Nothing  like Pauline & Rach BBQ dinners.  Sadly  we didn't  make  it  up  to  Gold coast  for my niece graduation  from Pre-school :(  we  had  a  lovely  night  of catching  up ............ I loved being  there :)

2nd December my  niece Boo arrived  from Sydney  with  her daughter and  then  my  other niece from the Gold coast  came  down  with  her  2  daughters & my  other  niece and  her  daughter  came  around  they  live  in Tweed not far  from  my  sister house  it  was  so lovely being  all  together :) It  was  a  lovely  morning of catching  up catching and hugging .................. It's what family  all  about. :)  In  the afternoon I took Ruby for  a  long  walk  in  her  pram  she  was suppose  to  sleep  but  no  such  luck  but  I  enjoyed it  any way :) That  afternoon  I went fishing  with Rach on  the  Tweed river I must  say  it  so relaxing but  I hate touching the horrible stinky  fish ................ lol lol lol .................. I suppose  I can't  have  it  my  way  all  the  time.



3rd December Happy first birthday Ruby we had  a lovely  day down  by  the river  in  the  park  were we  had  a BBQ lunch kids played in  the  sand we  went  walking played cricket and ball catching  with  my  niece Charleigh it was  so lovely very  enjoyable day. I got sunburn :) We sung happy birthday. Then  went  back  to  my sister  place were  the  kids  played  in  the  pool  Ruby had taste  of  her  cake  and  boy  did  she  enjoy  it  :)  We  then  left  and  went  to  the  Gold coast  to  see  my  niece  new  home  very  lovely  indeed. We  stayed  and chatted and  played  with  her  2  girls  and  caught  up  with bf as well. We  then  headed up  to  Brisbane where  we  dropped into  my  cousin  house and  mum got  to  catch  up with them  as  I was  staying  there with  them. Then  we  headed over  to my Aunty  house where  we  got  to  see everyone  and we dropped mum  off then we  headed  back  to  my  cousin  place.

4th December my  2 cousin and  I went  to  see a  Aunty  on the  south  side for  the  morning  and  lunch  it  was  a  lovely catch up we then  went to pillow talk love  that shop :)  Then did  a bit  of shopping at woolies. Then we spent a lovely  night  catching  up  and  admiring  the  lovely  view  from  my  cousin  back  porch :) 

5th December I  caught  up  with  a  friend  and  her  son  we  went  and  found  the  Uni  I  want  to  attend  next year. It  was small  but  so lovely for  now  I will  do it  on  line  but  if  things change I will go on campus and  move  to  Ipswich well springfield. We  then  found  our  family  name street in  the  suburb  of Bellview park had a few photos under  sign lol lol lol  it  was  named  after  my Uncle.

Then I  went  to  my  cousin  house  where we went around and visited  my  cousins it  was fantastic seeing everyone  and  meeting  my  cousin new girlfriend  and seeing  her  so  happy  she  one person who deserve to be happy :)  I  got  to  hold  a snake for  the very  first time a  bit scarey  but  so happy  I did it :) Then  we  went  back  and  had  a really  late  dinner and  then  headed  up  to  Mount Cootha the  view  of  Brisbane  from  up  there  is  so lovely  one every one should see when visiting there. But that  night  it  was freezing. I had  a wonderful long day with every one.

5th December I  went up  to  the Sunshine  coast to  visit other cousin  and  her  hubby  and 3  kids I was going to  a  new  house  and  man  the  view was amazing you can see out  to  the  ocean love  it  and  I nick  name  there house  the  tree house cause that  one  back yard  you wouldn't  be going to  play  in lol lol lol.



We went  to  Dicky beach  it  was  so  lovely we walked along the beach loved it and  the  had  lunch at  a local take away  it  was so lovely be going  back  there.  







Then  my  other  cousin  came  over with  her  new boy friend it was  sad  to  good bye  but  boy  did  I have a wonderful day :) I left the  sunshine  coast for  Brisbane  as  we  had  a family  dinner  with  my Aunty family  it  was  wonderful  to  be  around  so  many  there  was 22 of  us it  was  great  seeing  and  catching  up  with  everyone. It was sad  saying  bye  another  late  night But  such  a  enjoyable  day. I'm loving being  so close  to everyone.

6th December horrible wet rainy  weather but I was so excited  to  be  going  to see my 89 year  Aunty. Mum  &  I  went  with  my  little 5  year  old  cousin. it  was great. She  has aged but boy if  I make  that age  I hope  I look  just  as great. Love  it  when  she  tells  me  stories  about my grand mother sadly  I never  got  to  meet  her. A lovely  lunch was had. I  then  went  back  to  my  Aunty  place for dinner. Then  I headed  back  to  my  cousin  house  so I could  hang  out  with  them before  I left  for  Tweed  heads  the  next  night it  was  lovely night. Thanks  for having  me  I love  staying  with  you guys :) 

7th December  I woke up this morning  my  last  morning  in Brisbane and decided to  bite  the  bullet and  walk  the Gateway Bridge  and  I loved  it. Not  sure  if  it  was  6kms  or  10 kms Even  loved walking in  the  rain. Ipod & camera and  off  I went  I walked  it  in 1 hour 50 minutes I was happy  with that. Can't  wait  to walk  the Story Bridge  with my  two cousins. When I come back to Brisbane :) ............ I think I'm developing a fetish  for bridges lol lol lol.











My  5  year  old  cousin  was taking  my  mum  and  my  Aunty &  I to  lunch  and  she was paying  and  paid  a  whole $1 for  our  lovely lunch we  had then  told  the  owner  that she  would  pay  for everyone else lunch in the CAFE it  was  so lovely.

Bet  you  can't  buy  this  plus  more  for $1 lol lol lol Thanks  Miss C  for  a  lovely  lunch. Time  to  say  good bye to  Brisbane. It sucks  saying  good bye but  we  will be back again soon.

Then  we  headed  to  Tambourine mountain  on  the  gold  coast  to  visit  a  old dear  school  of  mine  and  her  hubby  and  2 girls it  was  way  2 short but  I promise  next  time  will  be  a whole  day  visit.

Then  we say good bye and headed  to Tweed heads  to  my  sister  place were  we went  out for dinner  at Coolangatta surf club  wow what  a  view so  worth it thanks  for booking a table  so we  could  see the ocean. We had  a lovely  family  dinner.




9th December Rach took  me  to  Kingscliff Beach before  work and boy mother  nature  been so cruel  to  such  a wonderful  place on  earth. I went  4 a morning  walk along the beach It is truly heaven I love  it  here. One place I could happily  live.

Then  I headed  back  to  my  sister  place  and packed  the  car and  said  our  last  good byes till Boo wedding. Left wonderful Tweed  for Sydney it  was  a  great  drive  back  yes  we stopped  back  at  our  normal  places  but  on  our  way  home  we  stop  off  at  Lake Cathie Maccas.
 
We got  home  before  midnight and  it  was  a dry weather  drive. Can't wait  till we head back up North.
